Pastor Lola Owolabi
Pastor (Mrs.) Lola Owolabi is passionate about people reaching their full potential, she recognises the unique gift of strength, creativity and innovation, given to women especially, which enables them to multitask and be all things in different scenarios.
In line with this, Pastor Lola is the founder and director of Ebony Business Network, which encourages and advises fledging women entrepreneurs. She also established proudtobeme, a non-profit organisation empowering teenage girls to ‘Aspire, Achieve and Acquire’. Proudtobeme currently offers coaching and mentoring in schools, colleges and in faith groups through a range of different activities and workshops to boost the self-esteem of young female teenagers, so that they are less likely to make decisions, which could have an adverse effect on their immediate and future circumstances.
Pastor Lola’s work with women has seen her serve as a Director for Global Women Inventors and Innovators Network (GWINN) and Feast of Esther, she has also been on the board of Trustees for Wandsworth Women's Aid (a charity advocating for victims of domestic violence). Recently she was given an award by British Award for African Development (BRAAD) in recognition of her outstanding achievement in the Community and Social Development. In February Pastor Lola received a Be Mogul award which recognises and celebrates the increase of Black Women in Britain owning as well as growing their businesses. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and also a member of The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
Pastor Lola is very entrepreneurial by nature and that led her to set up her own business. She runs a hand-made beaded fabric company where she creates bespoke, hand-made evening gowns, blouses and other clothing items.
Pastor Lola comes from a Financial Services and Senior Management background, she passionately serves her community as a magistrate in Berkshire. She has held several senior positions, and she serves as Chief Operating Officer of a well-known charity.
Reflecting her inner creativity, she has written 3 books and has written and co-produced two albums, a gifted and Inspirational/Motivational Speaker, Pastor Lola has inspired, mentored and coached people from all walks of life in various continents bringing her unique message ‘if she can so can you’.
